OSAF is participating in Google's Summer of Code program as a mentor organization again this year, and I'm on the hook as the person most likely to be a mentor this summer. I'm pretty excited about this, as it brings me full circle from student to mentor within the program, a path I hope many SoC alums have followed.
A good list of projects we've brainstormed is here. Each project on that page is slightly different in terms of skills likely to be developed, but each one should involve fairly cutting edge web tech, built on top of the Dojo toolkit. If you know any students interested in getting some practical web dev experience, the fruits of which stand a high chance of going into production this fall, please encourage them to both ping me and apply.
